Last week, our Early Years Foundation Stage children walked to Barn Hill Methodist Church in cold but beautiful weather to experience a traditional Christian wedding ceremony. They were met by Reverend Andrew Hollins, who conducted the pretend wedding. The children learnt all about the different stages of a wedding, including the exchange of vows and rings. The children were treated to a biscuit and a drink and learnt a traditional hymn “He’s got the whole world in his hands”. The children couldn’t stop talking about their experience and were still using the language learnt from the ceremony on the following Monday! #engageandinspire #nurtureandgrowth #prideandjoy
